Filippo Berio Delicato

I received a coupon recently for a free bottle of Filippo Berio Extra Virgin Olive Oil.  I'm already a regular user of the Extra Virgin Olive Oil, so I was excited to try the Delicato or the Robusto.  After searching high and low for it at my local stores, I happened upon the Delicato while on vacation.  I was glad I had my coupon in my car and was able to pick it up.

This couldn't have come at a better time, I've been trying to eat better and salads have been a big part of that.  I've been making my own dressing.  Below is a fresh strawberry vinagratte I made with left over strawberries the Filippo Berio Delicato and some apple cider vinegar.  The mild flavor of the olive oil doesn't overpower the other flavors in the dressing like Extra Virgin or regular Olive Oil sometimes does.  I also made Italian seasoned parmesan croutons to go with my salads and added a splash of the oil to get the seasoning to stick.  They are the best croutons I've ever had.

I am a huge fan of this olive oil and can't wait to see what other things I can make with it.
